A Big Day

Tomorrow is our big ultrasound! We are so excited to get to see the little one. It is the closest we will be to Little Bit until March rolls around and then that little sweetie will be in our arms! Of course there is always anxiousness about this appointment. You mommies out there know. They check to see if everything is growing on track and is developing properly. So, if you think about us, please pray at 8:00 in the morning. By the way, thank you all for your concerns and sweet comments about everything last week. It means to world to me! I wish we could go out one and one and have coffee together. But unfortunately, there are lots of miles between us.

I want to let you all know that we are NOT planning on finding out whether the baby is a little boy or a little girl. This is something that Flint has always wanted to do and that is really important to him. The planner in me, at first, was hesitant. But, now I am enjoying the suspense. I also feel like it is one thing that I can do for him...in a sense a gift that I can give him, which makes my heart really happy. Rather than knowing tomorrow, I know that I will know in about four and a half months. Right now we are just praying for a healthy baby and the sex is completely unimportant to us! Despite what everyone thinks, it is still fun planning. I am actually working on the nursery and hopefully within the next week I will have some plans nailed down and I will post about it! I will give you a hint...notice the color scheme of this post! We have almost decided on names, too. We have a boy and a girl first name picked out, but no middle names. Flint wants to keep the name a secret, too. Can you tell my hubbie LOVES surprises?!?! I told him he is not going to win every battle, so maybe soon I will share that with you.

How awesome is that...ya'll are not finding out. I tried to talk my husband into that this time and he was like, "NO WAY" because you will want me to have that nursery decorated and fully painted before you leave the hospital. Guess what? He is so right!

I will be praying for you guys in the morning and look forward to hearing that everything is perfect for that little Harris baby! God is in control.

You know, I am really enjoying not finding out. I wasn't sure, either, but it is wonderful in its own right. I also absolutely agree that decorating is just as fun and there are many, many ways to go. I am not feeling hindered by not knowing the gender while decorating. Plus, for space planning reasons, we are going to have to find out the gender when he have a second one, so this is our one chance to be surprised!

Good luck! Can't believe you have the self-control enough to wait to find out. I don't think I could handle it!

And, no, I totally don't think its weird that you feel like we are long-lost friends! We have too much in common! ;-)
