One Year Ago

One year ago, today, marks the day that my precious mother-in-law, Cilla, went home to be with Jesus. One year later the wound is still raw. One year later we still shed tears. One year later we miss her more than ever. Please say a prayer for Flint today. As much as I miss dear Cilla, I can't imagine my mom not being on this earth to encourage me, to watch my child grown, and to celebrate the holiday with us. We miss her so much and there is a big huge void without her. It makes some of the pain go away to know that she is in Heaven and is healthier than she ever was here, but we selfishly want her to share in our lives here on earth.
Oh, how I would love to give her a big today and to sit and tell her all that her sweet little namesake is up to!

What a beautiful post! My thoughts are with you and your family today. I am sure this is a difficult day for your hubby! You are right - it would be so hard to not have your mom to share the joys of parenthood. I thought that might have been a family name. Evie is a family name too - those are the best kinds. What a special reminder of those whom we love and miss so much in our lives.

So very sorry! I'm sure it's hard on both of you! I will be saying a prayer for your family today.

Thinking and praying for your family. I can't imagine how difficult these times are for you both and yet, how peaceful knowing she is watching down on you, sitting by our Father, healed and enjoying from above her sweet little namesake.

This is so touching, and I'm so grateful to know where Cilla's name came from. I can't imagine how painful it still is, such a short time to attempt to heal. What a blessing that the Lord brought Flint another Cilla to love.
